Smasbox O-Glow a blush which is intuitive! Loves it!

When it comes to blush you normally have a powder or cream so this product is so unique. This product the Smashbox O-Glow Intuitive Cheek Colour-$37.95. is amazing, when you squeeze a (very) small amount out of the tube it is clear but as soon as you start to rub it on your cheeks it is transformed to a beautiful pink perfectly suited to your skin tone.

Not only does it provide beautiful colour which is really long lasting but it contains Goji Berry-C Complex, Ginko Biloba and pomegranate seed which provide antioxidants to boost your skin, a beauty product that is good for you?? Sign me up!

You can see the lovely pink colour on my cheeks. Excuse the day old makeup this was done in the night when I was starting to get ready for bed and about to take my makeu up off and my skin is looking shoddy right now as I have just begun trialing new products.

Have you tried this product or one like it before?

What do you think?

Sara Happ Lip Scrub, sugary goodness, good enough to eat, almost!

Kissable lips, it's what we all want, it makes us more desirable and more confident within ourselves doesn't it?
I look after mine by keeping them moisturised but like my face they need a little help by exfoliating them regularily.
By exfoliating regularily you are encouraging cell turnover giving you beautiful lips.
The brand I recently bought is a brand I have heard about it but not been able to find anywhere, called Sara Happ "The Lip Scrub"-$33.50.
Whilst visiting a beautician I was given a try and I was a sucker right then and there. There are all these amazing flavours like brown sugar and red velvet (yep like the cupcake) are to die for.
I bought the Red Velvet as since I am not allowed to eat cupcakes as they make me sick (going for the pity party I know). It smells so, so sweet but ever so tasty.

To use: Apply a small amount to your lips and rub it in circular motions and then resisting the urge to eat it wipe it off with a tissue.
With grape seed oil and jojoba oil and actual sugar you know these amazing ingredients you are getting are going to be beneficial for your lips.
Doesn't it look amazing??
I cannot stress to you guys enough just how amazing this smells, I keep licking my lips after I have used and I tell you my lips have never been smoother!

I really encourage you to try look this brand up and try this for yourself I am completely, utterly obsessed!!

I know it may seem a little expensive for a lip scrub just the taste, oh my, it really is a beautiful product and would make a great gift.
The Red Velvet is a limited edition too! Loves that!!

Have you used a lip scrub before?

Fantastic Serum for only $9.95?? Get out of town!!

The content of this post is actually from my parents well mainly my dad. My dad has been going on and on about how badly he thinks I should write about it as it really is that amazing.
The serum I am talking about is from, wait for it.... Aldi! Yep, for $9.95 you can get the Lacura Face Care Aqua Complete Multi Intensive Serum
This serum is a cream gel and smells like shampoo which I don't all together mind and my dad says the smell goes away quite quickly.
Both my parents said it feels really soothing on your skin and feels cool and light.
One thing they loved is that it is easily absorbed and it just dissapears into the skin not leaving a heavy residue yet still feeling great on their skin.
What was the biggest surprise to them both was that it really reduced their wrinkles, especially around the eyes. My dad especially will not stop going on about how smooth it made his skin and how his wrinkles are gone. My dad says it is suitable for after shaving which means its gentle.
The scent is suitable for both men and women and suits all skin types.
My parents have used many different great brands and yet this is the one they love? It sounds so strange and due to the ridiculously low price point they can really enjoy using it and not feel like they have be scarce with it like they would a really expensive cream.

With this low price point I really think you should try it out for yourself, what have you got to lose?

You can find this little wonder product:  From Aldi Stores nationally.

Honestly, gives this one a try, it is such a little wonder product!

What is your cheapie wonder?

Would you consider trying this product?

Dermalogica, you've done it again. Revew Multi-active toner

Dermalogica never ceases to amaze me, every single product of theirs that I have tried I have loved and my skin has thanked me for by being all nice and plump and glowy (really what better gift could you have?). One product I have been using for ages which I thought I probably should let you know about is called Dermalogica Multi-Active Toner- $45.90.

I have had a on and off again affair with toners for years. It took me a really long time to realise how critical they are in your skin care routine. For me, this toner tops up the hydration that sometimes I feel can be lost after cleansing. What I love, well one thing I love is that it is a spray, great, the fact that once I have cleansed my skin I can just spritz this on is a big factor as it is less work (I know that may sound lazy but I have a million products I use morning and night, cutting down seconds is helpful) and I like that it stays on my skin. With toners in the past they have been wiped onto my skin but this is sprayed on to stay on. Once I have sprayed it I go about my other business, getting dressed or do my teeth so it completely dries before the next step.
This beautiful toner counts aloe vera and lavender amongst some of its beautiful ingredients to heal and relax your skin (and your soul-gosh it feels good to take some nice deep breaths and let those beautiful smells surround you). All in all it is a really pleasant product to use.

You can find Dermalogica: From Beauty Salons, David Jones or online at www.adorebeauty.com.au

Do you use a toner? Which one do you use?

Follow Friday! Great Blog Posts of the Week

Well we have reached the end of another week. This has been my first proper week in my new job and I have been loving it. It has been quite a rollercoaster week between new job and excitement and being really sick and being in hospital with a bug in my abdomen somewhere causing me large amounts of pain. I am feeling much better now, oh and did I mention I have been battling a cold all this week? So glad for the weekend to get here. As I type this one of my bffs is in labour and soon I will finally get to meet her gorgeous baby and I cannot wait!!!!!

So now I would like to let you in on some amazing Blogs I have read this week.

First up is Kimmy from The Plastic Diaries who did her first brand in spotlight which is a great idea of Benefit, one of my fave brands.

Val from Ponikuta is trialing 4 makeup removers this morning and I spot my face Dermalogica Precleanse which I love.

Elise from The Nail File showcased the new Mecca range of Nail Lacquers called Fashion to the Fore which I think are amazing and I will be making quite a few purchases, sorry bank balance!

Niki from BellaMUMMA educates us how to work purple eyeshadow and considering this is my all time fave colours I must get onto this!

Jen from My Funny Valentine follows up from her post on how to make your own serum with some really impressive before and after pics that make me want to put on my chemist hat and give it a try. (I don't actually have a chemist hat and would be hopeless, I do however have a chemist bff and this will be right up her alley so will pass it along)

Stef from The Lip Print was lucky enough to get to try the HG of lip sticks Tom Ford *drool* which I would love, love, love to try myself!! I am utterly convinced I need these in my life!

Keeping with the lipstick theme Celina from Fables in Fashion reviews the Estee Lauder Pure Colour Gloss Stick which looks so beautiful and really wearable.

Akisa from Akisa Love gave us great pointers from the blogger event she went to for Lancome with Michael Brown.

And last but not least Jade from Jade Musing gave us a great tutorial on creating vibrant rainbow coloured eyeshadow! So beautiful!!

So there we have it. Just a snippet of some of the great blog posts this week.

What are you guys up to this weekend?

What have been your highlights of the week?

Ultraceuticals Revitalising Body Oil-now this is how I relax!

I love my baths, I really, really do. I think it is something more of us should do more often. This is part of the reason why I love my new Sodashi Rejuvenating Concerntrate which I blogged about yesterday. Having a bath not only about getting all nice and clean but it is about taking time out for ourselves and just taking in the day and relaxing. Taking some nice deep breaths in and chilling the f out...
A friend recently asked me about what to put in her bath and I was able to easily rattle off a long list, to which she stated that I was quite the expert, I hadn't really realised I knew so much, so I thought I would share one of my faves to chill me and out and to look after myself.
The product I am loving is Ultraceuticals Professional Revitalising Body Treatment Oil-$35 which I got given about a month ago in a baby shower pass the parcel of all places. This beautiful blend of antioxidant oils you can use on your body out of shower/bath but I prefer to use it in my bath. I just use 4 pumps under the running water and just lie back and chill out.

When I get out of the bath my skin feels hydrated, smells great and is so, so smooth. I will tell  you it also means I get a really, really great night sleep that night.

You can find Ultraceuticals: Selected Salons and David Jones

You can find out more information on their website http://www.ultraceuticals.com

Sodashi promotes heat compresses DIY facial- Ah-may-zing!

Sodashi is a brand which to me is a spa brand, which tells me that using these products is like having spa treatments at home, noice! Also that it is a brand which not only is luxurious but is organic and natural, now normally these 2 wouldn't go together, normally luxury means high tech and scientific with chemicals that you will never be able to understand-this is what sets Sodashi apart. I have posted before about their beautiful hand cream which you seriously should try as it is to die for.

The latest product I have been using and loving sick is the Rejuventating Concerntrate- $65.30 AUD. This product is unlike any I have used at home. I think the "at home" part is they key here. What this product is a blend of essential oils which include:
  • Almond oil
  • Lavender
  • Rosewood
  • Geranium- organic
  • Lemon
  • Pure cane spirit
  • soy lecithin
  • Vitamin E
What you get when you combine these oils is a blend which soothes your skin and heals te damage caused by everyday life which leads to ageing.

It smells amazing and to use it; once you have cleansed your face, you half fill a clean sink with hot water and add 10 drops of the oil mixture to the water. Then pop in a clean facewasher and allow it to soak up all the yummy oils and then wring it out and sit back and press it to you face for 10 seconds and then pop it back in the water and repeat for another 10 seconds. When I have it on my face I take nice deep breaths and I am telling you it relaxes the shit out of me, seriously. You only need to do this at night and trust me it will become a favourite night time ritual.

Apart from being ultra relaxing which it totally is, it helps when you apply your moisturisers and serums whatever they may be to penetrate into your skin so much better then before makng those ingredients in your creams which you pay so much for work harder. Smart huh?

There is a reason they do this to us when we have a facial and then we notice a week later how great our skin is, cause they work. I was told you really need to do this for a couple of weeks to get the full force of how amazing it makes your skin look. I have been using mine for months and at first I was a bit lazy and was doing it every couple of days but now I have been doing every night I really notice the difference. Plus, since I am using a $330 serum I kinda want to get the maximum benefits out of it! It just makes my skin, glow!

I am continually surprised when I find a new "type" of product to fit into my skin care routine that I haven't used before and this is one of them. Not only does the bottle look great and looks great among all my other luxury items but I know I am really helping my skin with it.

You can find a spa which stocks Sodashi: on their website here.
Or online at www.sodashi.com

Have you tried a heat compress before?

Would you consider adding this to your skin care routine?

Preventing Anti-ageing and reduce Acne scars with this product

Let me introduce you to the most luxurious product I have ever tried and the one which coincidently has had the greatest visible effect on me... ever!

The product is Babor’s new HSR de LUXE Ultimate Anti-aging Serum-$330. I recently was lucky enough to go to the launch of their new anti-ageing line and learnt just how much science and research goes into these products and this brand.

Babor states “HSR Telovitin delays skin aging by stabilizing the tips of the chromosomes, which are essential for cell division. This greatly extends the life cycle of skin cells and thus significantly slows down skin aging. At the same time, the effective active lifting ingredients in the HSR Lifting Integral Complex reduce wrinkles visibly and continuously, resulting in smoother, firmer looking skin”.

At the launch I was introduced to the line of anti-ageing creams which although sounds amazing are way too rich for my youngish skin. What is great for my skin is this serum. This serum as well as being anti-ageing is preventive anti-ageing which is what I am all about right now.

I have been using this serum of a night time (I was using it morning and night but with $330 a pop I was going through it way too quickly) and when you apply it, you only need a tiny amount as it spreads really far and I apply it to my face and neck and also importantly my chest. What is important with this serum is to not rub it in too much and just make sure it is covered on your skin.

After using the serum for a month now the remaining acne scarring on my skin on my cheeks has almost completely gone and the texture of my skin has dramatically improved. I honestly can’t believe how amazing my skin looks and feel, I feel like I understand how celebrities have that amazingly smooth, perfect skin, and they use these kinds of products. Gosh if I could bathe in this stuff I would.

I have had so many compliments on the appearance on my skin and this is the product I have to thank for it.

I know this product is ridonkulously expensive and way out of so many peoples price range but I feel like I got the same effects from months’ worth of Omnilux treatments from one bottle, so really it is up to you. I just want you to know that there are products out there that really deliver and Babor has lived up to their hype as being the science behind beauty.

What is the most luxurious product you have ever used?
Would you consider spending this much on a product when you know it works?

Fantastic acne clearing cleanser...no bull

I have been dying to tell you about this new cleanser I have been using and today I can finally reveal it. I have been having really troubled. congested skin (which for me is always a constant battle) about a month ago and this has been my saviour. I have heard many great reviews of the Mario Badescu line of skin care products which are stocked at Kit Cosmetics and have been wanting to try them for a while. To me this is a no nonsense line of products without the fancy packaging that actually work. His line is known for his amazing acne products.
The product I have been using is the Mario Badescu Acne Facial Cleanser-$41.95 this cleanser is just beautiful. You don't need a lot which really means it lasts. This cosistency is clear and it is non foaming which I love as I really don't like foaming cleansers.
This cleanser is so gentle on your skin and with acne hating Salicylic Acid to kill those suckers and Aloe Vera and Chamomile which sooth and repair your skin. After using this cleanser my face felt incredibly cleaned and the day after I could already tell the angry reddness of my congested skin was a lot more calm and looked clearer. With weeks of use my skin is visibly clear and feels great. I still continue to use it morning and night and I know that it will keep my skin under control. As a blogger I am constantly trying new products (tough gig I know) but one thing is for sure as long as I am cleaning my face properly my skin can remain cool as a cucumber.
This cleanser really works and I highly recommend you check it out.

There are so many more products in the range which I will definitley be trying.

What cleanser has been your saviour?

Have you tried any products from the Mario Badescu line, maybe you have some suggestions for me to try?

Last night I....Bought Illamasqua Toxic Nature

Yesterday was the day beauties when Illamasqua Toxic Nature hit our shelves in Australia! I was there! As soon as I knocked off work I took virgin Illamasqua buyer, my friend to the counter at Myer in Sydney City to expierence the range first hand. God I had missed those amazing colours!! I was told by the gorgeous MUA I had met at the launch that already the product I already own Delerium had SOLD OUT! Wow! Clearly that one, which I absolutely love is a popular choice, I have no doubt all the rest will sell out so get in quick ladies!
Yesterday I purchased  a Nail Varnish Duo-$55  of Bacterium and Purity which I have worn Bacterium before and Purity just looks gorgeous and both are like no other I have worn before.

The other product  I bought was the Precision Liner-$43.50 which is such a unique product, unlike the traditional black liquid eyeliner this for one thing is the most unusal colour but also which I didn't even realise has a shimmer or almost purple evavescents which is just stunning. This liner is also incredibly long wearing.

I will be doing more swatches soon but this is just a sneak peak. For those who asked I also finally bought my first SKII product-Facial Treatment Essence which I have been wanting for so long and I am so excited to be using it, don't worry there will be a post about it soon enough!

Happy Friday!

I will do my link love post tomorrow, I have been all over the shop this week with training.

A good blow dry & amazing products can make your hair younger!

Oh hair, how I love you, you have the ability to make me feel from drab to fab with just one wash. Some products make you feel shiner and softer than others and so I am always on the look out for them. When I was told about this new range of hair products from Pantene and how they they have combine with Wella Hair Professionals to create a super range of anti-ageing hair care products called Clinicare. Now anti-ageing, I know what you might be thinking, ummm... why miss chew, you are so young, why do you need anti-ageing? Naww, your so sweet, even though yes I may seem young in anti-ageing terms, your hair is a whole different story. I have been dying my hair, heat styling my hair for too many years to count which in hair care terms is like dog years making my hair much older than it is.

Not only do these products take off years of your hair age but my god, check out the packaging!! I am sorry but this is not what I expect from Pantene, to me these just scream luxury! Love, love, love! Back to business, the scent is just divine and I can smell it a mile away, with orange and pear its great.
I was lucky enough to be invited to the amazing Barney Martin Hair Studios in Surry Hills to be able to expierence these products on myself and to really get a feel of the concept of a hair washing routine. I was educated how before I shampoo my hair I should brush it thoroughly then shampoo it twice to get a more effective clean.
The conditioner  brings my hair back to life protecting the hair by coating the hair fibres. With scents of Lily of the Valley combine with the previous orange and pear it is just gorgeous.
Another tip I learnt was to wring the water out of my hair before I condition it and to focus on the tips and avoiding the scalp which is something I am definitely guilty of!
Back to the treatment I have a few pics to show off to you especially the before and after as you can really see just how amazing it made my hair!
Look how beautiful these products are?

Yummy treats

Before- Can ya tell I am excited?
During
Almost Done- I could get used to this!
AFTER!!!!!!
Wouldyacheck out my hair!!!! Look how goddamn shiny it is!! It is so bouncy, glossy, the colour just glows, I mean really, what more proof do you need as to how great these products are? Van my stylist is divine there is no denying it but goddamn it feels like kittens and silky puppy dogs (yes I just referred to my hair as an animal, but an animal I want to stroke). The feeling doesn't go away any time soon either. I feel like I have the soft hair of a child, see does make my hair younger.

How much would these products cost?: The shampoo and conditioner cost $14.99 each there is also a hair treatment which come in individual little tubes and cost $19.99 for a packet.

You can find these products? In Priceline and leading pharmacies and supermarkets.

Such a winner!

What do you think?

Prime your eyes to make your eye makeup last longer!

I was recently given this little one to play with and I haven't looked back, but I digress. The product I am talking about is Stila Prime Pot-$42. I am a good little blogger when I know I am going out all day or night and will be wearing lots of makeup to always prime and I thought, yep my skin is prepared, but what about my eyes? I, stupidly in my ignorance didn’t even realise that I should be priming my eyes, fool.

When I am going out in the night time I really like to play up my eyes, this for me is when the bright colours, shimmer, and dare say glitter come out to play and there is nothing worse than realising as you are dancing the night away that your eye makeup has run down your face and you look like you have been bawling your eyes out, now do we?
This primer feels so light weight on my skin and it is my skin colour. The effect that I find as I apply it all over my eyelid is it evens out skin tone giving me like a clean slate to work with. I often find you can see little pesky veins and different colours on my eyelids and this way I know I am applying colour correctly.

I apply this primer with my ring finger as it warms the product up and it feels so silky. Once dried (I always wait a few minutes between steps) I then build up my eyeshadow. Since I have started using this especially when I apply my new Illamasqua eye pigment it really stays on so much longer than before. I also find my eyeshadow creases less and needs less touching up throughout the day and night.

It’s funny now that I have started using it, I honestly wonder how I got my without it!

You can find Stilla: At Mecca Cosmetica and David Jones and selected retailers. I buy online also from http://www.meccacosmetica.com.au/

Do you use a eye primer?

Illamasqua Launches New Range- Toxic Nature- Part 2

Yesterday I posted the first installment in my Illamasqua post about the launch of their brand new "Toxic Nature" range which if you missed it you can read it here.

To carry on where I left off, I was lucky enough to have the gorgeous lady who was our model and also a MUA to do my makeup. It was great to expierence the range first hand on myself.

Finishing result- Pic Credit- Kimmy The Plastic Diaries
The colours are very bright and I probably wouldn't wear them all together but I loved the different looks that could be created.

Kimmy with the Precision Ink on her eyelids
Kimmy had the ingenius gorgeous Precision Ink which is a opalescent liner, different to the traditional black eye liner this has many different uses. On Kimmy (above) it was used to line the the upper eyelids which makes the eyes pop. You can always line your eyes with black eyeliner then on top of this you can then use the precision liner which will accentuate the eyes further.

Kimmy and I

Adeline and I
I had such a wonderful night, meeting some new bloggers I hadn't met before and catching up with ones I consider my friends.

I was given 2 wonderful products suited perfectly to me. One was the amazing lipstick and the other was the cream pigment in Delirium.

When I used the Delerium after some experimentation I realised the best method when applying this cream pigment is:

-Apply foundation over the entire eye as well as the rest of your face.
-Once dry apply a primer over the entire eye lid (I am loving Stilla Primer Pot- which I will post about soon) this not only preps the eye but due to the flesh colour of the primer it evens out the skin tone.
-Then with a eye shadow brush I build up the colour on my eyelids concerntrating the main amount of pigment on the eyelid and then blending upwards.
-To avoid creasing you need to set the pigment, I use a transparent powder which I cannot live without which gives the pigment a matte appearance and makes the pigment last all night.
-On top of that I then apply liquid eyeliner.

and voila!

Next is the amazing lipstick Atomic which is ah-maz-ing such to cause a BANG!!

I really like this pic even though it is the dodgy image because you can see not only the vivid hot pink but also the faint purple shine to the lipstick which in my opinion really makes it pop.

On my lips you see the bright pigment where you hardly have to apply any to get full colour. The slight purple sheen is visible too. The colour wears so well and hardly needs to be reapplied.

The new range of Illamasqua are available in the UK right now and will be available in Australia later this month.

You need to try these!

I can't wait to get my hands on more!

I hope you have enjoyed watching these products as much as I have enjoyed playing with them.

I would love to know your thoughts, what are you dying to get your hands on?

Illamasqua Launches New Range Toxic Nature- Part 1

Oh Illamasqua be still my heart, how I love you. I wanted to thank you for pushing the boundaries and providing us with a range unlike any other I have seen on the market for a while now. You not only gives us beautiful colours but also innovative products.

Alex Box, creative director of Illamasqua designed this range after being trapped in Dubai during the Iceland volcanic eruptions which meant she was unable to get home for 3 weeks. Whilst she was stuck there she really got to thinking about these natural disasters that are happening around the world (cyclones, eatherquakes, floods, tsunamis) and thought that it was mother nature fighting back from how we have mistreated the world in the past-from this Alex created the Toxic Nature range.

I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch along with a group of Sydney Bloggers which I was ridiculously excited for, going by their previous collections I knew I was in for a treat of the eyes and the senses.

We were shown the various looks on beautiful large banners which demonstrate the effects of "Toxic Nature" such as above and below. The below look is my absolute favourite, isn't she divine!!

We then saw this look created on a model and let me tell you it was even more divine in person.

The model getting made up

A little blending never harms

Beautiful
It was so great to be able to see how they create these looks first hand and what I really paid a lot of attention to is how Illamasqua really promote multi use of their products, the MUA was using lipstick as blush and eyeliner over the brows and over the lips, you name it, Illamasqua wants you to make it happen.

We were then introduced to each product in the beautiful range.

The range consisted of:

6 new cream pigments designed from the "corrupted colours" and "poisonous pastels" of a toxic nature. This is a new formula from Illamasqua which is a rich, matte, crease and water resistant and designed to last.

They can be used on any area of the body and applied with either finger or brush.

The 6 colours are:
  1. Emerge – Peach
  2. Bedaub – Mint
  3. Dab – Lilac
  4. Hollow – Toffee
  5. Delirium – Rose Taupe (The one I have)
  6. Mould – Grape
They have also released 2 new Lipsticks in 2 toxic tones Atomic (fuchsia violet or as I like to think of it as hot, hot pink, this is the one I have) and Flare (bright orange). These lipsticks are for no wall flower (don't cha love my nature reference) they are highly pigmented and really moiturising.

Just look at those gorgeous colours!!
The next products that absolutely wowed me are the amazing ranges of Nail Varnishes. There are 5 in the range all of which really makes me think of toxic waste but in a good way... the names are fantastic... from Bacterium (my favourite) to Radium and Gamma.

Left to Right- Bacterium, Radium, Stagnate and Gamma.

We were treated to a manicure by one of Illamasquas finest. For my nails I chose Bacterium as it was the most unlikely colour I would have chosen as when you look at the bottle it looks well like something with a bacterium swimming around in it.

Such an unusual colour Bacterium
Lara from The Swatch Girl got a manicure as well of Purity and Gamma on the tips which looks fantastic.

Adeline from Through Beauty Eyes got the last manicure of Radium with Bacterium.

All such different looks which can be created by their amazing range.

So that is all for this posts as already this has been a mammoth post!

Tomorrow I shall post the swatches for the eye cream pigment and the lipstick which I was given and further looks and snaps from the launch.

I hope you are enjoying this feast for the eyes like we all did.

Stay tuned for more!
