Last night I....Bought Illamasqua Toxic Nature

Yesterday was the day beauties when Illamasqua Toxic Nature hit our shelves in Australia! I was there! As soon as I knocked off work I took virgin Illamasqua buyer, my friend to the counter at Myer in Sydney City to expierence the range first hand. God I had missed those amazing colours!! I was told by the gorgeous MUA I had met at the launch that already the product I already own Delerium had SOLD OUT! Wow! Clearly that one, which I absolutely love is a popular choice, I have no doubt all the rest will sell out so get in quick ladies!
Yesterday I purchased  a Nail Varnish Duo-$55  of Bacterium and Purity which I have worn Bacterium before and Purity just looks gorgeous and both are like no other I have worn before.

The other product  I bought was the Precision Liner-$43.50 which is such a unique product, unlike the traditional black liquid eyeliner this for one thing is the most unusal colour but also which I didn't even realise has a shimmer or almost purple evavescents which is just stunning. This liner is also incredibly long wearing.

I will be doing more swatches soon but this is just a sneak peak. For those who asked I also finally bought my first SKII product-Facial Treatment Essence which I have been wanting for so long and I am so excited to be using it, don't worry there will be a post about it soon enough!

Happy Friday!

I will do my link love post tomorrow, I have been all over the shop this week with training.

Illamasqua Launches New Range- Toxic Nature- Part 2

Yesterday I posted the first installment in my Illamasqua post about the launch of their brand new "Toxic Nature" range which if you missed it you can read it here.

To carry on where I left off, I was lucky enough to have the gorgeous lady who was our model and also a MUA to do my makeup. It was great to expierence the range first hand on myself.

The colours are very bright and I probably wouldn't wear them all together but I loved the different looks that could be created.

Kimmy with the Precision Ink on her eyelids
Kimmy had the ingenius gorgeous Precision Ink which is a opalescent liner, different to the traditional black eye liner this has many different uses. On Kimmy (above) it was used to line the the upper eyelids which makes the eyes pop. You can always line your eyes with black eyeliner then on top of this you can then use the precision liner which will accentuate the eyes further.

Adeline and I
I had such a wonderful night, meeting some new bloggers I hadn't met before and catching up with ones I consider my friends.

I was given 2 wonderful products suited perfectly to me. One was the amazing lipstick and the other was the cream pigment in Delirium.

When I used the Delerium after some experimentation I realised the best method when applying this cream pigment is:

-Apply foundation over the entire eye as well as the rest of your face.
-Once dry apply a primer over the entire eye lid (I am loving Stilla Primer Pot- which I will post about soon) this not only preps the eye but due to the flesh colour of the primer it evens out the skin tone.
-Then with a eye shadow brush I build up the colour on my eyelids concerntrating the main amount of pigment on the eyelid and then blending upwards.
-To avoid creasing you need to set the pigment, I use a transparent powder which I cannot live without which gives the pigment a matte appearance and makes the pigment last all night.
-On top of that I then apply liquid eyeliner.

and voila!

Next is the amazing lipstick Atomic which is ah-maz-ing such to cause a BANG!!

I really like this pic even though it is the dodgy image because you can see not only the vivid hot pink but also the faint purple shine to the lipstick which in my opinion really makes it pop.

On my lips you see the bright pigment where you hardly have to apply any to get full colour. The slight purple sheen is visible too. The colour wears so well and hardly needs to be reapplied.

The new range of Illamasqua are available in the UK right now and will be available in Australia later this month.

You need to try these!

I can't wait to get my hands on more!

I hope you have enjoyed watching these products as much as I have enjoyed playing with them.

I would love to know your thoughts, what are you dying to get your hands on?

Illamasqua Launches New Range Toxic Nature- Part 1

Oh Illamasqua be still my heart, how I love you. I wanted to thank you for pushing the boundaries and providing us with a range unlike any other I have seen on the market for a while now. You not only gives us beautiful colours but also innovative products.

Alex Box, creative director of Illamasqua designed this range after being trapped in Dubai during the Iceland volcanic eruptions which meant she was unable to get home for 3 weeks. Whilst she was stuck there she really got to thinking about these natural disasters that are happening around the world (cyclones, eatherquakes, floods, tsunamis) and thought that it was mother nature fighting back from how we have mistreated the world in the past-from this Alex created the Toxic Nature range.

I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch along with a group of Sydney Bloggers which I was ridiculously excited for, going by their previous collections I knew I was in for a treat of the eyes and the senses.

We were shown the various looks on beautiful large banners which demonstrate the effects of "Toxic Nature" such as above and below. The below look is my absolute favourite, isn't she divine!!

We then saw this look created on a model and let me tell you it was even more divine in person.

Beautiful
It was so great to be able to see how they create these looks first hand and what I really paid a lot of attention to is how Illamasqua really promote multi use of their products, the MUA was using lipstick as blush and eyeliner over the brows and over the lips, you name it, Illamasqua wants you to make it happen.

We were then introduced to each product in the beautiful range.

The range consisted of:

6 new cream pigments designed from the "corrupted colours" and "poisonous pastels" of a toxic nature. This is a new formula from Illamasqua which is a rich, matte, crease and water resistant and designed to last.

They can be used on any area of the body and applied with either finger or brush.

The 6 colours are:
  1. Emerge – Peach
  2. Bedaub – Mint
  3. Dab – Lilac
  4. Hollow – Toffee
  5. Delirium – Rose Taupe (The one I have)
  6. Mould – Grape
They have also released 2 new Lipsticks in 2 toxic tones Atomic (fuchsia violet or as I like to think of it as hot, hot pink, this is the one I have) and Flare (bright orange). These lipsticks are for no wall flower (don't cha love my nature reference) they are highly pigmented and really moiturising.

Just look at those gorgeous colours!!
The next products that absolutely wowed me are the amazing ranges of Nail Varnishes. There are 5 in the range all of which really makes me think of toxic waste but in a good way... the names are fantastic... from Bacterium (my favourite) to Radium and Gamma.

Left to Right- Bacterium, Radium, Stagnate and Gamma.

We were treated to a manicure by one of Illamasquas finest. For my nails I chose Bacterium as it was the most unlikely colour I would have chosen as when you look at the bottle it looks well like something with a bacterium swimming around in it.

Such an unusual colour Bacterium
Lara from The Swatch Girl got a manicure as well of Purity and Gamma on the tips which looks fantastic.

Adeline from Through Beauty Eyes got the last manicure of Radium with Bacterium.

All such different looks which can be created by their amazing range.

So that is all for this posts as already this has been a mammoth post!

Tomorrow I shall post the swatches for the eye cream pigment and the lipstick which I was given and further looks and snaps from the launch.

I hope you are enjoying this feast for the eyes like we all did.

Stay tuned for more!
