I finally got my hands on a Clinique Chubby Stick

Oh the Chubby Sticks, how I have swooned over you since I saw your very first press release, you have marvelled me with your crayon like appearance and your moistursing capabilites and now you are mine!
When I passed through Sydney International Airport recently I really wanted to get something Duty Free but everything I saw barely had a discount and I could get it cheaper shopping online, then I saw the Chubby Sticks. I thought if I am going to a tropical island where less in more in the makeup department this little bugger would be perfect. I had a play with a few shades but this one the Chunky Cherry had me at hello. It was just the right amount of colour, I know there are a few which are more subtle but I am really NOT about the subtle and when I tried it on my god it was the most beautiful pinky red colour and was so moisturising. The colour not only looks great but is surprisingly long lasting and as I little tip when in need I also popped a little bit on the apples of my cheeks for some colour.

Clinique says the moisturising formula is enriched with a blend of butters, oils and antioxidants and contains shea butter, mango seed butter and jojoba seed oil which makes sense why it feels so damn good!

Since I purchased this baby which retails for $35 it has been a staple in my handbag, a very stylish staple and the fact that it is wind up and looks like a big crayon just makes it that much better.

I highly recommend you guys check these out, if you haven't already, I am just now pondering what other colour I want to buy.... hmmm...

My on Holiday with the chubby (and I am not talking about my boyfriend... )

So tell me, have you got some chubby?

Plum is the word for Winter with Arbonne

When the weather gets cooler I find myself moving away from the fake tan and embracing my pale skin and enhancing my features with darker plum lips, this year is no exception.

As I am on the road all day I sometimes don't get lunch til 2 or 3pm let alone at all so the last thing I ever have time to do is freshen up my lipstick, sad but true. So I am all about the long wearing makeup baby.

Introducing the Arbonne's Long Wearing Lipstick in Jam-$32. I really do love this brand and it was their translucent powder that made me fall in love with them in the first place.

This lipstick is the perfect plum shade for me and I have been consistently putting it to the test to see how long wearing it really is. When I wear this lipstick and put it on first thing in the morning I usually get til 1 or 2pm before I need a touch up so really only needing to reapply once during the day is a winner for me.

The lipstick is extremely moisturising as well which really surprised me and glides on so smooth which makes me love it that little bit more.

Illamasqua Launches New Range- Toxic Nature- Part 2

Yesterday I posted the first installment in my Illamasqua post about the launch of their brand new "Toxic Nature" range which if you missed it you can read it here.

To carry on where I left off, I was lucky enough to have the gorgeous lady who was our model and also a MUA to do my makeup. It was great to expierence the range first hand on myself.

Finishing result- Pic Credit- Kimmy The Plastic Diaries
The colours are very bright and I probably wouldn't wear them all together but I loved the different looks that could be created.

Kimmy with the Precision Ink on her eyelids
Kimmy had the ingenius gorgeous Precision Ink which is a opalescent liner, different to the traditional black eye liner this has many different uses. On Kimmy (above) it was used to line the the upper eyelids which makes the eyes pop. You can always line your eyes with black eyeliner then on top of this you can then use the precision liner which will accentuate the eyes further.

Kimmy and I

Adeline and I
I had such a wonderful night, meeting some new bloggers I hadn't met before and catching up with ones I consider my friends.

I was given 2 wonderful products suited perfectly to me. One was the amazing lipstick and the other was the cream pigment in Delirium.

When I used the Delerium after some experimentation I realised the best method when applying this cream pigment is:

-Apply foundation over the entire eye as well as the rest of your face.
-Once dry apply a primer over the entire eye lid (I am loving Stilla Primer Pot- which I will post about soon) this not only preps the eye but due to the flesh colour of the primer it evens out the skin tone.
-Then with a eye shadow brush I build up the colour on my eyelids concerntrating the main amount of pigment on the eyelid and then blending upwards.
-To avoid creasing you need to set the pigment, I use a transparent powder which I cannot live without which gives the pigment a matte appearance and makes the pigment last all night.
-On top of that I then apply liquid eyeliner.

and voila!

Next is the amazing lipstick Atomic which is ah-maz-ing such to cause a BANG!!

I really like this pic even though it is the dodgy image because you can see not only the vivid hot pink but also the faint purple shine to the lipstick which in my opinion really makes it pop.

On my lips you see the bright pigment where you hardly have to apply any to get full colour. The slight purple sheen is visible too. The colour wears so well and hardly needs to be reapplied.

The new range of Illamasqua are available in the UK right now and will be available in Australia later this month.

You need to try these!

I can't wait to get my hands on more!

I hope you have enjoyed watching these products as much as I have enjoyed playing with them.

I would love to know your thoughts, what are you dying to get your hands on?

Why Cherry Lips are on Trend Right NOW!

Thanks to the lovely Helen from Sassy Bella I was lucky enough to win a nice little packet of goodies.
The first thing that grabbed my attention was this beautiful cherry red lipstick from Rimmel. This beautiful little gem is called Alarm- $9.95 from their Lasting Finish Lipstick range. Now I don't know where you have been hiding if you haven't noticed how hot cherry red lipstick is right now, I know that being the lover of bright lipstick that I am this colour totally appeals to me.
When I used this lippie I noticed it smells really sweet and is a joy to apply.
The colour is so beautiful and rich and the most important thing is that it is really long lasting! To me this is a massive difference.
Case in point is the ever beautiful Rashida Jones.
Keeping all other makeup basic and just going for one stand out feature will always be a winner in my books.
Here is how it looks on me...

And for the close up...
Red, red, red, is hot, hot, hot!!!

You can find this lipstick: At all leading department stores and Priceline.

Enjoy!

Today I'm Rocking... A Orange Matt Lip from Innoxa

I recently received a beautiful array of coloured matt lipsticks from Innoxa and considering the rave reviews and my love for a bright lip I couldn't wait to have a play. Boy was I not dissapointed! The colours are bold and Matt and unlike some Matt lipsticks which can leave your lips feeling dry this range is incredibly moisturising on my lips.

Today I am rocking this beautiful bright orange called Sunset. This is the first time I have worn an orange lipstick before. My reason isn't that I haven't wanted to, I have been in awe of girls that pull it off I just hadn't well for one thing found a shade I liked and also when I did wear it I wanted to rock it with a tan. Now I don't know about you but the first time I popped this on at home when I was playing with the shades and I was quite pale as I naturally am it did not suit my skin tone whatsoever but today I'm all freshly tanned thanks to my Naked tan application last night and I'm ready to go! Today I am loving this orange lip sick! So keep that tip in mind next time.

If you are going to rock a bright lip, please, please make site you have really good condition lips underneath as it will ruin the whole effect if they are cracked. When not wearing a lipstick always carry a moisturising lip balm. I love Burt's Bees Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil which does wonders for my lips.

I think that all girls should have an array of shades of makeup in their collection. I always have multiple shades of foundation and different types of foundation whether it is liquid or mineral powder so I am covered whether tanned or pale which can also depend on which season and what I need it for.I will go into this in more detail at a later date.

Here is the other lovely ladies I was lucky enough to acquire...
 They cost: Only $!4.95 Bargain!!
You can find them: Big W, Myer, Priceline and selected Chemists.

Short & Sweet- Tips for soft, kissable lips

If you are a big lipstick wearer or big fan of the kisses then you would know how important it is to have soft, luscious lips!
What I do is once or twice a week or if they are feeling dry when I clean my teeth, once I am all done I use my toothbrush to gently rub over my lips to remove any dead skin cells which makes them feel a little tingly and then rinse them!
Once I have done I apply a moisturising lip balm I am loving Burt's Bees Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil which I recently posted a blog about here, and Voila! Soft, kissable lips!
Trust me, your boyfriend/ lover will thank you!

Matching Lipstick to your Hair colour? Sweet!

Since I am rocking the purple and bandana look today and since I actually have a tan today also I thought why not go all matchy matchy with a lippie too.

I tried out the L'oreal range of Made for Me Intense a little while ago and I love it! This shade is called Sparkling Amethyst- 25.95 and is made for Brunettes like Moi!

The colour doesn't come out as intense as the pic of the actual lipstick you can see in the pic of my lippies below it is actually a bit pink with some purple. I never thought I would have been able to pull off a purple lippie but these guys at L'Oreal know their stuff and they know what will work with my hair colour.

The actual lippie is very moisturising and the colour holds up well throughout the day, although I like to top it up as I like it bold, no point not making an impact and it really suits my outfit!

I am really keen to find out what other kinds of lippie they think will suit me? Should totes check them out!

Maxfactor Liptick- Maximum Colour!

Image from Ellevictoire
I love a bright lippie, especially when I am not really wearing any makeup today as I am going to be wearing full makeup tonight so I like to let my skin breathe.

This is my absolute favourite, its by Maxfactor called Bewitching Coral- approx $20 The colour is a great combination between a bright pink with a hint of coral and is right on trend for lipstick colours right now. It really packs a punch!

It is a matte lipstick yet it is so hydrating for my lips. This lipstick has really great staying power as well- great for a night out.

Usually when I applied bright lipstick I will either do one of 2 techniques. Either I will be a good girl and line my lips with a lipstick liner then apply my lipstick or (which I did today) I out some of the lipstick onto my finger (clean finger, gosh!) and rub it into my lips gradually building up to the level of colour I want. I find this way the colour last longer and doesn't come off. I do this especially if I am with my boyfriend (I know men hate the thought of getting lipstick on them) this way it won't kiss off!

'scuse the poor quality pic, taken at my desk- see no makeup!
I faked tanned last night too, not that you can tell from this pic...whitey, mcwhitey...

Where to find: Myer, Target, Kmart, Big W, Priceline and selected pharmacy outlets.

Loves it!
