May Empties 2011

Well wasn't this a massive month for me, why does everything seem to run out at once. Yes I do non stop use a lot of products. I know I have lots backed up to use at home but I really prefer to go through a whole product before I buy more.
This month I used up:
  • Terax Latte Shampoo
  • Batisse Dry Shampoo- Re bought
  • Rexona Deodrant- Re bought
  • Estee Lauder eye make up removed- Re bought
  • Nutrogena Sport Sunscreen- Not the biggest fan as it runs out fast and not so much of a need now that it's Winter.
  • Wella Shampoo
  • Dr Bronners Hand Soap- Re bought
  • Johnson and Johnsons Body wash- not the biggest fan, the smell isn't that great and I have used better
  • Rimmel long wearing Foundation- I have now bought the new 25 hours one instead
  • Natural Compatibles wet and dry
  • Maybelline define a brow- My HG eyebrow pencil, loves it and rebought
  • Garnier Clear Senstitive makeup removing wipes- Yup again I have gone through another packet and I have re bought
Phew, that was exhausting!

I hope you have all had a great month! Mine has been so friggin hectic, bring on Thailand next month!

My Go-To Eye Makeup Remover

My eye makeup remover has a hard life. Quite often, mainly due to laziness I take my makeup off at night with makeup remover wipes (my HG are Garnier Pure Sensitive) and then I do a cleanse with a proper cleanser. The only time I really use eye makeup remover is if I am being a good girl taking all my makeup off properly or if I have really packed it on there. In this instance the product I use must be a goodie otherwise I wouldn't use it. The product that I think I was given (I think) is one I will definetly be repurchasing as I am just about out is Estee Lauder Gentle Eye Makeup Remover- $45. This remover really easily without having to exert any force (or mulitple pads) removes even the most caked on blackest makeup.
I have been using this bottle for ages too as a little seems to go a long way. It is oil free as well which really works for me.

I imagine you will be seeing this little baby in my "Empites" blog post soon!

Are you good with removing eye makeup? Which product do you use?

Cooling Day Moisturiser which is perfect for Summer

If you are looking for a great multi-tasking day moisturiser that's perfect for Summer, then this one could be the one for you!
Introducing the Estee Lauder Day Wear Plus- Multi Protection Anti-Oxidant Creme SPF 15- $80 (What a mouthful!)

There are many reasons why this creme is wonderful and I shall list them:

1.  SPF 15-This amazing day creme protects your lovely face from the harsh UV light which is something we should all be doing everyday-which will prevent the signs of ageing.
2. Contains some mighty powerful antioxidants- this little baby includes wonders such as South African red tea, grape seed and vitamins C and E. It re-energizes skin’s own defenses with white birch extract and eukarion.
3. It is cooling on your skin-This is probably my most favourite feature. It has a cucumber scent and honestly I don't know what smells more fresh than cucumber! When you pop this on in the morning not only do you feel refreshed but in Summer when we are harsh on our skin it really cools your skin down. I think it's the perfect day creme for Summer.

The creme is quite light too and is a white colour.

What I am loving about these creme's is they are giving you more and more bang for your buck and means that one creme can do so many things without piling your cremes on.

I notice in Summer I never get any incidental Sun damage on my face when I wear this creme (I may on my shoulders or chest, but this is something I am going to improve on this Summer) so this way I know that they work and that they are providing me with the protection I need in the harsh Summer months.

Spring is in the air...

When it comes to perfumes I love anything floral. The only rule I seem to have is in the colder months I choose scents with tones of Tuberose.
Back to the reason for this blog, with Spring now here (yay!) I have been searching for a new fragrance and this new version of Estee Lauder Pleasures Bloom is exactly what I was looking for.
The official description says Pleasures Bloom is a luscious floral. The fragrance opens with notes of grapefruit, raspberry, lychee and violet flower and continues with vibrant florals of pink peony, rose, jasmine and green lily. The scent ends with notes of musk blended with a touch of patchouli and creamy vanilla. One word, wow! I could not try to describe it better if I tried.
It smells of everything that reminds me of Spring and is perfect for this time of the year.
The scent develops so beautifully on my skin and makes me feel so happy when I wear it.

The RRP is $100/145 and can be bought where all good perfumes live.

If your looking for a scent that can make you really feel like Spring then this is it!
