Follow Friday! Great Blog Posts of the Week

Well we have reached the end of another week. This has been my first proper week in my new job and I have been loving it. It has been quite a rollercoaster week between new job and excitement and being really sick and being in hospital with a bug in my abdomen somewhere causing me large amounts of pain. I am feeling much better now, oh and did I mention I have been battling a cold all this week? So glad for the weekend to get here. As I type this one of my bffs is in labour and soon I will finally get to meet her gorgeous baby and I cannot wait!!!!!

So now I would like to let you in on some amazing Blogs I have read this week. 


First up is Kimmy from The Plastic Diaries who did her first brand in spotlight which is a great idea of Benefit, one of my fave brands. 


Val from Ponikuta is trialing 4 makeup removers this morning and I spot my face Dermalogica Precleanse which I love. 


Elise from The Nail File showcased the new Mecca range of Nail Lacquers called Fashion to the Fore which I think are amazing and I will be making quite a few purchases, sorry bank balance! 


Niki from BellaMUMMA educates us how to work purple eyeshadow and considering this is my all time fave colours I must get onto this! 


Jen from My Funny Valentine follows up from her post on how to make your own serum with some really impressive before and after pics that make me want to put on my chemist hat and give it a try. (I don't actually have a chemist hat and would be hopeless, I do however have a chemist bff and this will be right up her alley so will pass it along)

Stef from The Lip Print was lucky enough to get to try the HG of lip sticks Tom Ford *drool* which I would love, love, love to try myself!! I am utterly convinced I need these in my life!


Keeping with the lipstick theme Celina from Fables in Fashion reviews the Estee Lauder Pure Colour Gloss Stick which looks so beautiful and really wearable. 


Akisa from Akisa Love gave us great pointers from the blogger event she went to for Lancome with Michael Brown. 


And last but not least Jade from Jade Musing gave us a great tutorial on creating vibrant rainbow coloured eyeshadow! So beautiful!!

Follow Friday: Great Blog Posts of the Week!

So another week has passed and it is Friday again weeeeee!! Today marks a special day for me as it is the last day in my beauty role. Unfortunately when my office moved in December the new location has proved too much for me and I have found another job a lot closer to home and I start on Monday (no rest for the wicked). So instead of going out partying on a Friday night I will be celebrating my having a nice long bath with candles all around me and a glass of vino with a face mask on and just relax as I prepare to enter the next phase in my life.


So in what is now tradition for me I am going to include a list of Blog posts which I have loved this past week. 


First up is Karen from Makeup and Beauty Blog which is fast becoming my favourite international beauty blog. She did a post on the creaseless eyeshadows from Benefit which I have tried and loved in the past but her blog post and swatches has made me want to go and buy them all over again!


Jen from My Funny Valentine did a great post over the weekend about Vitamin C and how you at home can create your own serum! Awesome!


Charlotte from Lipglossiping another OS blog did a post about the brand new Bare Minerals Skin  Care range which I think will be amazing. 


Adeline from Through Beauty Eyes and Clare from cclarebear did a great post from the Illamasqua launch I also attended last Friday (don't worry my post will be coming up soon).


Stef from The Lip Print reviewed one of the Lipsticks from the new Wonder Woman by M.A.C range and really made me reconsider whether I want to trek into the city to get one. Also seeing the packaging in real life I was rather dissapointed too. 


Keeping with the Wonder Woman theme, Tara from Keeping up with me swatched the Wonder Woman Mineralise Skin Finish which the product itself looked great and large in size but that packaging... hmmm... not sure what I really think about that!


Niki from the most beautiful blog there is (in my humble opinion) bellaMUMMA was able to let us on the gorgeous India Hicks and how she gets so damn good looking! 


Kimmy from The Plastic Diaries has been a busy little woman with Foundation Week and considering I am in the hunt for a new foundation she really has given me food for thought. Her post on Lancome Teint Miracle Foundation really impressed me and I will add this to my list of foundations to try.


Cherie from Ms Critique showcased the new Kit coloured nail polishes by wearing a different colour on each nail and it looks adorable! Must try that!


Lastly Lara from Swatch Girl swatched her Illamasqua lippie she got in her goodie bag which is probably the most amazing orange I have seen! Honestly that pigment is wow!

I will post my blog from the Illamasqua launch, probably over 2 days as it will be massive. 
I will review the new Autumn collection from Essie nail polishes.

Follow Friday-Great Blog Posts of the Week

I decided to create a new segement which will be on Fridays called Follow Friday. I do this on Fridays on Twitter (you can follow me @miss_chew) like many twitter peeps (tweeps) but I thought I would actually let you lovely readers know about articles which I found really interesting, or really inspiring or just made me want to buy stuff!

First off we have Stef at The Lip Print who was lucky enough to get invited to the MYER show by Illamasqua and was able to find out how they created those amazing catwalk looks.

The next post is from Niki from Bella Mumma there are always daily inspirational posts and beautiful images but the post that really caught my attention was on on about getting good skin from within.

Celina from Fables in Fashion who reviewed and swatched Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful Palette. I have been hanging out to see how this palette looks and get it for myself. I thought the colours were just amazing and now I want it even more!!

Kimmy from The Plastic Diaries reviewed Schick Quattro For Women Trim Style which really intrigued me. I had never tried anything like this and the price really isn't as expensive as I would have thought and as an alternate hair removal I think I will give it a go.

Elise from The Nail File swatched the new Australis Limited Edition Autumn Colours the number one is just divine, like a dark grown up purple which I can see as being a staple in my nail collection.

Chelle from Cosmetic Cupcake did a swatch of a holographic nail polish which is just stunning and I really want to try one for myself! Nails of the future!

Jessica from Belle Lumiere posted about a MOR Honey Nectar Hand and Body Lotion which smells so yummy. MOR products to me are just so luxurious and are my ultimate "show off when you have guests over" products so this is next on my list.

The gorgeous Cherie from Ms Critique is FINALLY back and has posted all about her New York trip, making us all really jealous. It is so great to hear from her!!

Last but not least Jen from My Funny Valentine has done a great post on sunscreen education and really lays it all out there as to what UVA and UVB rays mean, how they differ and why you need to make sure you protect yourself properly.

I hope you get just as much enjoyment out of these posts as I have.
