Preventing Anti-ageing and reduce Acne scars with this product

Let me introduce you to the most luxurious product I have ever tried and the one which coincidently has had the greatest visible effect on me... ever!

The product is Babor’s new HSR de LUXE Ultimate Anti-aging Serum-$330. I recently was lucky enough to go to the launch of their new anti-ageing line and learnt just how much science and research goes into these products and this brand.

Babor states “HSR Telovitin delays skin aging by stabilizing the tips of the chromosomes, which are essential for cell division. This greatly extends the life cycle of skin cells and thus significantly slows down skin aging. At the same time, the effective active lifting ingredients in the HSR Lifting Integral Complex reduce wrinkles visibly and continuously, resulting in smoother, firmer looking skin”.

At the launch I was introduced to the line of anti-ageing creams which although sounds amazing are way too rich for my youngish skin. What is great for my skin is this serum. This serum as well as being anti-ageing is preventive anti-ageing which is what I am all about right now. 

I have been using this serum of a night time (I was using it morning and night but with $330 a pop I was going through it way too quickly) and when you apply it, you only need a tiny amount as it spreads really far and I apply it to my face and neck and also importantly my chest. What is important with this serum is to not rub it in too much and just make sure it is covered on your skin. 

After using the serum for a month now the remaining acne scarring on my skin on my cheeks has almost completely gone and the texture of my skin has dramatically improved. I honestly can’t believe how amazing my skin looks and feel, I feel like I understand how celebrities have that amazingly smooth, perfect skin, and they use these kinds of products. Gosh if I could bathe in this stuff I would. 

I have had so many compliments on the appearance on my skin and this is the product I have to thank for it. 

I know this product is ridonkulously expensive and way out of so many peoples price range but I feel like I got the same effects from months’ worth of Omnilux treatments from one bottle, so really it is up to you. I just want you to know that there are products out there that really deliver and Babor has lived up to their hype as being the science behind beauty.

Review of Omnilux...and then there was light.... therapy!

When I was going through a time earlier in the year when my skin was going through a rough patch I was invited to get a series of treatments by the lovely girls at True Solutions. 

When I arrived I met with Gwen who really knows her skin. She explained to me that she was going to do a chemical peel and then I was going get Omnilux light therapy session on my face.

I feel like light therapy for women under say 35 years gets a bad wrap as being completely unnecessary, this is totally untrue.

What you will learn is there are different types of light. When it comes to Omnilux there are either a Blue light or a Red light.

The Red light (Revive) works best for slightly older skins as it stimulates the production of Collagen to help re-plump the skin to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and helps with pigmentation. This is the kind of light I will start using in a few years.

The Blue light (called Blue) is what I used as it really helps to get rid of acne. It does this by the light actually killing the bacteria in the acne lesions on your face. When you have acne your face is actually infected so by killing the bacteria you are getting rid of the acne. This was the one for me!

Once my peel, it's time for the Omnilux- a little strip of paper is placed over your eyes so you are not staring into the light and the Omnilux machine (shown above) is positioned very close to your face (maybe a few cm's away) and then you are left under the warmth. What is great about this treatment is there is no pain, just feels like you are relaxing in the sun. Whilst my face was being treated my lovely therapist gave me a leg and arm massage (ummm...hello heaven?). Then that is it!

I had a good look at my skin after I was finished and I was surprised at how calm my acne looked, the intense angry redness that comes with acne had settled a lot and my skin was glowing! I loved it and instantly wanted more!!

How much does it cost?: Generally about a $99 a go and that usually includes a peel.

To get the best results: It's best to get a series of treatments (they usually do packs of 10 at a discounted rate)

Getting better with age, brought to you by Nivea...

Anti-Wrinkle Q10Plus Tinted Day Cream, $18.89

When we think of shiz that gets better with age what does it make you think of? Wine? Cheese? Brad Pitt? d. all of the above?

Well thanks to the good people at Nivea they were able to combine 2 of the 3 (Brad Pitt was busy) to help launch their new Nivea Visage Anti-Wrinkle Q-10 Plus Tinted Day Cream.

Why is this product awesome you ask?

Because its a massive multitasker!! 

Not only is it:

a. have a SPF 15 cause you know how important sun protection is.

b. has a great colour and coverage for when you don't want to wear much makeup. When I first squirted some out onto my hand I felt like I was looking at a foundation and not a tinted moisturisier. This is a massive plus for me.

c. Keeps your skin nice and hydrated all day long- big bonus as even though the temperature is warming up, hydration is still important.

d. But it also is anti-ageing with its amazing Q10 key ingredient! The increase in sun exposure with the warmer months coming up means that this key ingredient is important to maintain the youthful appearance in our skin.

How much more could you want off one little bottle?

It was a really great afternoon and really honed in on the whole 30 is the new 20 and how age isnt something to fear but to embrace. Embrace time passing with a new found feeling of freedom and independence. 

A attitude I really think we could all take on board a little bit more sometimes, myself included.
